Flattened textures of a painted wooden masks. The raw volcanic rock grounds the digital representation of the man-made mask back to its traditional cultural history. These masks, originally used for rituals, is now a regularly reproduced decorative object in Mexico. They have since become an object to be collected—made over and over by hand.
